About us

Over the past year Let’s Talk...YEI have supported dozens upon dozens of learners, working in a person-centred way to build confidence and mood, whilst reducing anxiety and depression.  The team consists of Adam, Laura and Tracey, and we provide one-to-one support, group work, and workshops, for those suffering with mental health problems such as anxiety and low mood, or those looking to learn more about themselves and develop their confidence.

We believe in promoting positive mental health as well as intervening when mental health is poor, and as part of this project we aim to get out to as many young people as possible to open conversations about mental health, tackling the stigma that comes along with it.  There is no health without mental health.

  • What Makes Us Different

We are able to adapt our provision to the mental and emotional needs of learners, providing evidence-based talking therapy, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, taking a number of different approaches ranging from one-to-one sessions up to group work and workshops.  We have a person-centred approach, within supportive and nurturing environments, in order to work with learners suffering from a number of varying issues including: stress, depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem.

  • Learner Support

We can provide support for learners on a one-to-one basis, but also run two weekly groups and provide bespoke psycho-education for all providers.

Tuesday afternoons we run an Allotment Group (for learners who feel isolated, low in mood, or anxious in social situations) which helps to build confidence, boost mood, and reduce feelings of low mood and anxiety).

Thursday afternoons we run a Behavioural Activation group, which looks at trying and experiencing new things in order to increase a learner's sense of achievement and pleasure, with activity ranging from kayaking to tai chi, and art to theatre.

Our psycho-education workshops are bespoke for providers to use, with our most propular being Mental Health Awareness, Anxiety Management, and Mindfulness.
